The Realism and Light in Scott Noel Paintings

I've been spending a lot of time lately looking at Scott Noel paintings, and there is something about the way he captures the atmosphere of Philadelphia that just hits differently. If you aren't familiar with his work, he's one of those artists who manages to take a totally mundane scene—like a cluttered studio or a gray street corner—and make it feel like the most important thing in the world.
